BetOnline Launches $25,000 College Football Playoff Bracket Contest

a promo for BetOnline's CFP betting contest

BetOnline has announced the launch of its annual $25,000 College Football Playoff Bracket Contest, an event designed to bring extra excitement to the 2025–26 College Football Playoff season.

Open to all registered BetOnline users, the free contest gives fans the chance to test their CFP betting skills while competing for a share of a $25,000 cash prize pool.

Registration for the contest opened on Monday, December 8, 2025, and will close at 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 19, 2025, just in time for the kickoff of the first round of playoff games that evening.

Participants can enter by logging into their BetOnline accounts and completing a full bracket predicting the outcomes of all 11 College Football Playoff games, from the first round through the National Championship.

Although the contest is free to join, participants must wager a minimum of $50 in the BetOnline Sportsbook, Casino, or Racebook between December 19, 2025, and January 19, 2026, to qualify for prizes. Only one entry per account is allowed, and all picks must be finalized by the registration deadline.

How the Contest Works

Players earn points based on correct college football betting predictions throughout the CFP. The scoring system rewards increasing point values for later rounds:

  • 1 point for each correct first-round pick
  • 2 points for correct quarterfinal selections
  • 4 points for semifinal victories
  • 8 points for correctly predicting the National Champion

As always, accuracy late in the bracket could be decisive, with the National Championship prediction worth the most points.

The top 1,500 players will win a share of the cash prize pool, which pays out from $1,250 for first place down to $10 for 501st–1500th place. Runners-up will receive prizes such as $500 for second place, $250 for third, and $150 for fourth.

All winnings will be credited as cash directly into player accounts by 6:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, January 22, 2026, with no rollover requirements.

In case of ties, BetOnline will use a total-points tiebreaker, asking players to guess the combined score of the National Championship game. If ties persist even after this, winnings will be split evenly among the tied players and the next prize level.

Bringing Bettors Closer to the Action

The $25,000 College Football Playoff Bracket Contest continues BetOnline’s tradition of adding interactive elements to major sporting events.

With the expanded 12-team playoff format increasing the number of games and matchups, the contest offers both casual fans and seasoned bettors a chance to stay engaged across every round of postseason play.

For players ready to test their football instincts and compete for cash, registration and full contest details are available exclusively at BetOnline Sportsbook.

Also, BOL usually creates a pick’em contest for the NFL Playoffs as well, so be on the lookout for that promotion as soon as Week 18 concludes.
