All Sights Set On California Political Props As June Primaries Heat Up

Election officials across the US are gearing up for one of the most important elections in history as we head into the Midterms this November. These 2022 elections will be a testament to the longevity of career politicians post-COVID.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen more rookie politicians try their hand at government. While few have been able to beat the incumbent advantage, the strides they’ve displayed have encouraged other citizens to get engaged and do the same.

And they have.

Now that we’re in June, in the thick of the primaries, these candidates will have the opportunity to prove themselves worthy of representing their state’s party.

Party Primaries On June 7th

The first of this month’s elections kick off on June 7th in six legal sports betting states. The list of these states and their available seats are as follows:

Sports Betting State Seats Open For Midterms
Iowa Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, US Senate, US House of Representatives
Mississippi US House of Representatives, Mississippi State Legislature
Montana US House of Representatives, State Senate, State House of Representatives, Public Service Commissioner
New Jersey US House of Representatives
New Mexico Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer, US House of Representatives, State House of Representatives, State Supreme Court
South Dakota Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer, US Senate, US House of Representatives, State Senate, State House of Representatives

California will also host its primary elections on the 7th, with positions to fill at nearly every level. These include Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, US Senate, and more.

All Bets On Newsom

Several media outlets have highlighted the significance of this primary vote as Gavin Newsom prepares to take the stage for another four years as Governor of California. Some believe that a successful gubernatorial run could set Newsom up for a Presidential bid in 2024.

The layman’s consensus is that Democrats in CA have not yet decided on who to rally behind for the General Election. If voters demonstrate overwhelming support for Newsom, it could open the floor for non-Biden candidates next year.

But that’s only if Newsom can secure a win in November too.

California has always incurred national attention during election season. After all, the state is a cultural epicenter and has been a consistent gauge for political progress in the US.

State Primary Political Props

Nonetheless, the 2022 elections are tinged with an additional sense of urgency as voters will also be obliged to consider a variety of legal propositions including the future of California sports betting.

Funnily enough, you can bet on political election props like these at top sportsbook sites. Even in states without domestic wagering, gamblers can still access such lines from their mobile devices.
