The election odds suggest that DeSantis, Trump, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and US Senator from South Carolina Tim Scott will be the last Republicans standing on the 2024 campaign trail.
With a potential Trump expulsion on the horizon, nominees could remain poised to stick around longer than they would during a normal election cycle.
With DeSantis on the outs, Senator Scott has real underdog potential. His traditional conservative stances are more in line with Republicans across the nation, and his African American heritage could swing some additional votes his way.
