Tonight, the 27th season of Big Brother (USA) will debut on CBS and Peacock+ at 8 p.m. Sixteen houseguests are poised to enter the Big Brother house this evening and interact with host Julie Chen Moonves on live television.
Entertainment sportsbooks are being coy about producing Big Brother futures and prop bets, as our usual haunts have come up empty on the morning of season 27’s debut.
While we wait for the odds to debut, let’s take a look at the cast of BB 27.
Big Brother USA Season 27 Cast
In Their Twenties
- Lauren Domingue, 22, Bridal Consultant, Lafayette, Louisiana
- Isaiah “Zae” Frederich, 23, Salesperson, Provo, Utah
- Adrian Rocha, 23, Carpenter, San Antonio, Texas
- Katherine Woodman, 23, Fine dining server, Columbia, South Carolina
- Ava Pearl, 24, Aura Painter, New York City, New York
- Ashley Hollis, 25, Attorney, New York City, New York
- Jimmy Heagerty, 25, AI Consultant, Washington, DC
- Zach Cornell, 27, Marketing Manager, Cartersville, Georgia
- Rylie Jeffries, 27, Professional Bull Rider, Luther, Oklahoma
- Kelley Jorgensen, 29, Web Designer, Burbank, South Dakota
Most Big Brother winners have been in their twenties. Over the series’ previous 26 seasons, there have been 22 champions between the ages of 21 and 29. This does not necessarily imply dominance by this particular age bracket when considering that the cast is mostly made up of this demographic.
Regardless, when the odds for betting on Big Brother debut, one of the above houseguests will be in the top spot.
Thirty-Somethings
- Keanu Soto, 33, Dungeon Master, McKinney, Texas
- Morgan Pope, 33, Gamer, Los Angeles, California
- Vince Panaro, 34, Unemployed, West Hills, California
- Mickey Lee, 35, Event Curator, Atlanta, Georgia
There have been three Big Brother winners who were in their thirties. The ages of the three were 30, 30, and 36, so two of those winners were merely months out of their twenties.
Keanu Soto and Morgan Pope are intriguing houseguests because their “professions” lend well to strategic elements of Big Brother gameplay. Soto has a muscular physique, but the extra weight will hurt him in endurance challenges. Pope appears to have a light, athletic build, so she could be an underdog worthy of consideration.
The Forty-Plus Crowd
- Amy Bingham, 43, Insurance Agent, Stockton, California
- Cliffton “Will” Williams, 50, College Sports Podcaster, Charlotte, North Carolina
During the entire run of the US version of the show, there has only been one winner who was aged forty or higher – Evel “Dick” Donato who won Big Brother season 8 at the age of 44.
Will There Be A Mystery Houeguest?
A twist in season 27 is that a mystery houseguest will be added as the 17th member of the cast. Chen has hinted that the mystery houseguest will be polarizing, but has not revealed whether it will be a former cast member.
We’re very surprised that there aren’t any entertainment prop bets asking who the mystery houseguest will be. Our top guesses for potential mystery houseguests are Rachel Reilly and Angela Rummans.
