What The Odds Tell Us About Manny Pacquiao vs. Mario Barrios

a fight promo featuring boxers Manny Pacquiao and Mario Barrios

On Saturday, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao will return to the ring at the age of 46. He has not fought since August 2021, when he lost to the WBA Super Welterweight Championship to Yordenis Ugás via unanimous decision.

Pacquiao’s first 59 professional fights resulted in an impressive win-loss record of 54-3-2. Over his next 13 bouts, he accumulated a record of 8-5, including a career-defining loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2015.

Mario Barrios is the current WBC Welterweight Champion. He won the belt by beating Yordenis Ugás in September 2023, and has defended the championship twice since then.

Barrios started his pro career off hot, winning his first 26 fights. Since June 2021, he has gone 3-2-1, winning the WBC Welterweight title along the way.

Online boxing betting sites are aligned in their belief that Barrios will come out as the victor this Saturday, potentially sending Pacqioauo into a permanent retirement with the loss.
