NFC East Betting Preview: Will The Division Rise From Least To Beast In 2021?

NFC East odds for 2021-22 favor Cowboys

2020 was a disaster on many fronts. COVID-19 began its rapid descent upon civilians around the globe, US politics became more divided than ever, and the NFC East produced a champion with a record that was below .500.

It was a year of new lows, and with a new NFL season comes predictable… predictions. NFL football oddsmakers are once again all aboard the hype train for the Dallas Cowboys, but will they actually pull it off this year and deliver results that are above mediocre?

Both Bovada and MyBookie feature NFL moneylines for betting on the Dallas Cowboys that are hovering around even money, whereas BetOnline has them running within 15 points of the Washington Football Team.

Dallas Cowboys +120 +165 +110
Washington Football Team +230 +180 +160
New York Giants +400 +325 +450
Philadelphia Eagles +500 +625 +450

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are America’s team, often dominating television screen sets across the country for the primary 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon games if they aren’t featured in a prime-time contest. Heck, they’ve been a featured element of the NFL’s Thanksgiving Day games for decades – people generally want to see the Cowboys win.

BetOnline is where bets should be placed on the Dallas Cowboys to win the NFC East as they currently feature the best NFL moneyline odds of +165. The Cowboys easily possess the most talent of any of the NFC East teams, but with their constant injury troubles and inconsistent play, it is hard to feel confident enough to wager on their success.

Washington Football Team

Head coach Ron Rivera carries with him the nickname of “Riverboat” due to his penchant for taking in-game risks with his play-calling. What the Washington Football Team lacks in talent, they make up for in cohesive teamwork and hustle.

Washington finished with a respectable 7-9 record during Rivera’s first year with the team, and we expect this young nucleus of players to continue to build off of that success and once again capture the NFC East.

Betting on the NFL Playoffs, in Washington’s case, should be done at Bovada, as their +230 odds to win the NFC East offer 50 points of separation from the nearest online NFL sportsbook.

New York Giants

Just like in the case of the Cowboys, much of the New York Giants’ success in 2021-22 will depend on the performance of an offensive player that is returning from injury – running back, Saquon Barkley. The early word is that Barkley is struggling to recover from a torn ACL, so expectations should be tempered.

This is also a make-or-break year for Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. There are several NFL prop bets on the boards suggesting that Jones will not be under center next year, which is not a great indicator of success for the franchise in 2021-22.

We do not advise betting on the New York Giants to win the NFC East this season, but if you have confidence in them, lay some action on them at MyBookie for the highest payout.

Philadelphia Eagles

Inarguably the most important position in the game of football is the quarterback. One look at the QB room in Philly and it is easy to see why the Eagles are a unanimous selection to finish last at offshore sports betting sites.

Jalen Hurts, Joe Flacco, and Nick Mullens – they do know that Nick Foles is likely to become available soon, right? The current Eagles roster suggests that this will be a rebuilding year, and we recommend laying off betting on the Eagles to win the Division this season.

If you are intent on betting on Philadelphia to win the NFC East crown in 2021-22, you’ll gain an extra 125 points over the next competitor by using BetOnline.
