Two members of the SBL Sports Betting Hall of Fame, Drake and Mattress Mack, are often focused upon during Super Bowl season. The wagers they place on major sporting events attract attention for many reasons.
Drake and Mattress Mack’s Super Bowl bets are usually between five and eight figures. Sizable bets can often sway public opinion, especially when they are made by a celebrity.
Mack usually gambles with house money, dollars that he’s collected selling mattresses at his Gallery Furniture stores in the Houston, Texas, region. He bets the revenue collected during his promotion and bets it on a team to win a championship. The teams are usually Houston or Texas-based. If Mack’s bet is a winner, everyone gets a refund for their mattress.
Mattress Mack Super Bowl Bets
So far, Mack has not bet on Super Bowl 58, but he has expressed regret for not laying some action on the Kansas City Chiefs prior to the AFC Championship Game versus the Baltimore Ravens.
At that time, KC possessed a +420 moneyline to win Super Bowl LVIII, NFL odds that would payout at $4.20 on the dollar.
Drake Super Bowl Bets
Rap mogul and pop icon Drake made waves by placing three large bets on Super Bowl 56, but is more prominently known in the sports arena for cursing teams. When Drake wears clothes donning a team involved in a league championship, they’re often the losers. This is known as the “Drake Curse.”
Two of our favorite legal online sportsbooks have created Super Bowl prop bets that anticipate the team that Drake will wear on February 11th.
