The quarantine edition of the 2020 NFL Draft is officially in the history books—and you can bet fans and gamblers saved ample evidence of “Mister Roger’s Virtualhood” so that future generations could bask in Goodell’s gaffes and memes from the three-day online event.

2020 NFL Draft prop betting was a roaring success, according to early reports as legal US sportsbooks and operators around the world release their handle totals from the three-day event from April 23-25.

But now that the draft day celebrations are over, it’s time for the rookies to get to work ahead of training camp and preseason football. However, all bets are off for what either of those or the 2020-21 NFL season looks like in the months ahead due to the global pandemic.

Early 2020-21 NFL odds indicate Joe Burrow and Chase Young—the top offensive and defensive picks in the virtual draft—are both heavily favored to have stand-out rookie seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins, respectively.

Burrow (+250) is the odds-on favorite to win the 2020-21 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, according to the highly-rated Bovada Sportsbook. Currently, a $100 bet would win $250 if the LSU Tiger King QB takes home ROTY hardware during next year’s honors ceremony before Super Bowl 55.

On the other side of the ball, Young (+200) is favored to win the 2020-21 AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. For those betting legally on his chances to win: An example wager on $100 on +200 would payout $200 if the Ohio State sack master feasts on pro-level QBs this upcoming season.

Interestingly, a winning bet on any 2020 NFL rookie, outside the top two picks, would win more than double the return on investment for the favored offensive or defensive ROTY award odds for Burrow and Young.
