Five Dark Horse Super Bowl Bets For This Sunday

Kareem Hunt celebrating with fire going off in the background

Every respectable Super Bowl betting sheet should include a few long shots in the mix. Sure, you can nearly double your money by correctly wagering on the point spread, but if you really want to get some bang for your buck, the odds of occurrence will need to be astronomically low.

Here are a few NFL prop bets and ready-made parlays that can earn you a lot of money, even if you only wager $1.

Jalen Hurts & Patrick Mahomes to Each Record 5+ Rushing Yards in Each Quarter

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will almost certainly gain 20 rushing yards over the course of Super Bowl LIX. Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs has a great chance of doing the same.

Super Bowl prop bets place an over/under of 29.5 on Mahomes and 40.5 for Hurts. The odds for each of them gaining at least five rushing yards in each quarter is set at +4000, which will award players $40 on a $1 wager if it happens this Sunday.

Saquon Barkley 125+ Rushing Yards & 2+ TD’s & Kareem Hunt 60+ Rushing Yards & 1+ TD

Saquon Barkley scoring two touchdowns and securing 125 or more rushing yards is what the current SB props are projecting. Kareem Hunt’s odds suggest he’ll get at least 45 rushing yards, and his scoring a TD is rated with a +115 moneyline.

If Barkley performs as expected and Hunt has a slightly better day than the odds predict, bets on this parlay will earn 35-to-1 payouts at +3500.

Each Team to Score 1+ Rushing TDs & 1+ Passing TDs in Each Half

The over/under for Sunday is 48.5, and since the spread is set at -1.5 in favor of the Chiefs, both teams are projected to score at least 22 points. This prop parlay requires two touchdowns per half by each team, equaling no less than 28 total points scored by KC and Philly.

If each franchise scores a rushing and a passing TD in each half, anyone wagering on the prospect can earn $75 for each dollar they risk at +7500.

Patrick Mahomes (KC) Most Passing Yards, DeVonta Smith (PHI) Most Receiving Yards, Kareem Hunt (KC) Most Rushing Yards

This three-leg ready-made parlay can earn gamblers $90 on a $1 bet (+9000). Mahomes getting the most passing yards is nearly certain. Both teams spread the ball around in the passing game, and DeVonta Smith has as good of a chance as any to record the most receiving yards. Hunt is prepared for a big workload, but the Eagles’ Saquon Barkley is expected to garner the most rushing yards in the game.

Still, strange things usually happen in the Super Bowl, and you can’t earn any real money without risk. We’re dropping a dollar on this one, just in case.

Kareen Hunt For Super Bowl LIX MVP

It has been 27 years since a running back has become the Super Bowl MVP. The most recent occurrence was in 1998 when Terrell Davis of the Denver Broncos won the MVP award in SB XXXII.

There is a +4800 moneyline on Kareem Hunt of the Chiefs winning the Most Valuable Player award. This wager is intriguing because Philadelphia’s defense will focus on KC’s potent passing game, which should allow Hunt some open lanes to run through.
