Democratic Debate Prop Bets 2019: Odds on Trump, Tweets, Biden Hugs, Talk Time, Polling and More

Fourth of July fireworks are just around the corner, but oddsmakers are betting that sparks will fly during the first Democratic debate over the next two nights.

Prop bets have been posted by online sportsbooks for the first 2020 Democratic primary debate being held tonight and tomorrow night at 9.p.m. ET in Miami, FL.

And even though the debate is among the top 20 Democrats who qualified for the June debate stage, President Donald Trump is sure to draw the bulk of the attention from Democrats seeking to win the general election in November next year.

It’s unknown whether President Trump will get in on the action by tweeting during the debate or if the Democratic candidates and moderators won’t stop talking about him over the course of the two-night event.

Odds are available on the over/under for the number of times Trump is mentioned, how many times he tweets during the debates, and whether he will resort to domestic schoolyard diplomacy tactics by name calling a specific candidate on social media.

Joe Biden has been given odds on whether one of the women running for president will be unlucky enough to receive one of his notorious hugs. How many times “Buttigieg” is mispronounced and the number of times Andrew Yang says “UBI” are also among the list of prop bets available.

If that isn’t enough, oddsmakers have also posted odds on Trump’s approval rating and whether the top Democrats polling will rise or fall following both debates.

It’s unclear at this time whether there are more debate prop bets available or Democrats running for president, but there is one safe bet.
