This evening, the final session of the 2024 Republican National Convention will conclude with an address from Donald Trump, the assumed GOP Presidential nominee.
Last night, J.D. Vance, a US Senator from Oho and the author of Hillbilly Elegy was officially announced as Trump’s 2024 running mate.

This four-day event has been largely overshadowed by the recent assassination attempt on former President Trump’s life at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Saturday. Even Trump himself has said that the tone and content of his speech at the RNC would have to change following the shooting.
Online political gambling sites have offered over/under propositions that suggest Trump’s address could range between 69:30 and 72:00.

Numerous political prop bets are offered for tonight’s speech, grouping related words with odds on how likely they are to be mentioned. While most of them involve what he’ll state first, the following prop is unique in that each option pays out no matter when spoken.
Trump Pivot – To Thank/Praise Enemies
- Nikki Haley -140
- Joe Biden +250
- Mike Pence +1000
- Nancy Pelosi +1200
- Chris Christie +2000
- Hillary Clinton +2500
- Barack Obama +2500
- John McCain +3300

Could Trump adopt a softer tone following the recent attempt on his life? The odds imply there is a better than 50-50 shot that he offers some sort of positive remarks directed toward former GOP candidate and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.
The odds skyrocket into the stratosphere after Haley, but there is reasonable probability placed on praise or a thank you offered to Biden.
When Is The DNC?
The Democratic National Committee begins tomorrow in Chicago and runs through next Monday. The current unrest surrounding the Democratic Party and President Biden’s campaign should make for an intriguing four days.
There are no DNC-specific odds on the boards just yet, but have a look at the current line on the eventual Democratic nominee.
2024 Democratic Nominee Odds
- Kamala Harris +100
- Joe Biden +105
- Michelle Obama +1600
- Gavin Newsom +2500
Panic had already set in following Biden’s recent performance, or lack thereof, during the first debate. High-profile party leaders have already formally asked Biden to step down in lieu of more electable Presidential candidates, which has drastically impacted the betting odds.
Vice President Kamala Harris is no longer a legitimate contender to earn the nomination – she’s in the lead. To add fuel to this weekend’s fire, Biden has now come down with a case of COVID-19, which could impact his chances of making an appearance.
Will the pressure come to a boil over the next five days? Tune in to Trump’s speech tonight and the DNC this weekend to find out.
