Win $300,000 Playing BetOnline’s NFL Survivor Contest

Selecting a winning team each week of the 2024-25 NFL Season doesn’t sound too difficult. Just cruise through the game lines weekly at online sportsbooks and select the team with the largest NFL point spread in their favor.

What if the same franchise could not be picked twice? That’s a different prospect altogether because including this variable considerably lowers the probability of success.

BetOnline has placed $300,000 of their own money on the line and will give it to anyone who can pick an NFL winner every week of the season without repeating teams. The contest is posted now, and entries are allowed until the kickoff of Monday Night Football on September 9th.

How To Enter

First, the contest is only open to active BetOnline members. Entries can be purchased on BetOnline’s website until 8 PM on Monday of Week 1. While submissions can be made until the deadline, we advise against waiting until the final game of the first week because that limits your choices to the New York Jets and the San Francisco 49ers.

The first entry is $30, but additional entries cost less the more you add. There is a maximum of 25 entries per customer. Fees will be deducted from the user’s balance.

How To Play

Starting the opening week of the NFL Season and running through Week 18, BetOnline members must choose a winning team without regard to point spreads or any other wagering parameters. Once a team is chosen, they cannot be selected again for the remainder of the season.

If the selected team is a winner, contestants will then move on to the following week and select another winner. If the chosen team loses or ties, then that contestant is eliminated.

The contest runs through Week 18, or until only one survivor remains – whichever comes first. If there are multiple survivors after the final week, the $300K grand prize will be split amongst them. There is no rollover attached to the winning cash.

Our Selection Strategy

  1. Pick Garbage Winners Early—Don’t burn early-season choices by going with the Kansas City Chiefs or the 49ers. Do some research and go with some mid-tier winners over the first few weeks, saving the top-ranked franchises for later on.
  2. Study The Weekly Schedule – Gain an edge on the competition by having a look ahead. Knowing what’s coming up for a team will help avoid traps, limiting choices to potential losers. Also, game lines are already available beyond the first weekend of action, so use those spreads to calculate future projections. Any team that is favored for several weeks in a row does not need to be chosen immediately.
  3. Avoid Picking Hometown Favorites—Since a maximum of 18 winners can be submitted, at least 14 franchises will be unutilized. To avoid cloudy judgment, we suggest including the team you root for in those 14 exclusions.
