Bitcoin Not On Trump’s Radar During Musk Twitter Interview

Following a brief delay caused by what Elon Musk described as a cyberattack on Twitter/X servers, former President Donald Trump was interviewed live over the social media platform to millions of viewers.

Due to Musk’s connection with cryptocurrency markets like Dogecoin and Trump’s recent adoption and endorsement of Bitcoin for campaign contributions, there was an expectation that the subject would be breached during the two-hour Twitter/X interview.

BTC and crypto were left off of Musk’s agenda. Experts anticipated market shifts based on any comments made, but values are stable on the morning following the broadcast.

Topics they did cover included Artificial Intelligence and its future impact on society, global warming, and eliminating the federal Department of Education and placing the power in the hands of each state.

Kamala Harris and her campaign responded swiftly following the Trump Musk interview.

“Trump’s entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself — self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024.”

Despite the claim that Musk is in service to Trump, he has extended an invitation for Harris to join him for an interview on the same platform.

Also significant is Trump’s return to Twitter, which was known as when he last posted in 2021. Political analysts assumed Trump would return to X following its acquisition by Musk in 2022, but he confined his activity to Truth Social.

Here is President Trump’s return tweet from yesterday.

From Trump’s perspective, his campaign must stop the bleeding following the introduction of Harris into the 2024 race. This interview is the first step in that process, but how has it impacted the odds at political sportsbooks?

Odds to Win the 2024 US Presidential Election

As of this morning, Harris still leads Trump by 40 points, a margin she has held since last week. There are also odds for betting on Elon Musk and Trump for both the Nobel Peace Prize and Time Magazine’s Person of the Year.

  • Greta Thunberg +1200
  • World Health Organization +1200
