- NBA All-Star Game Begins At 8 p.m. on TNT This Sunday
The average height of players in the NBA is roughly 6’6″. Mac McClung, the reigning two-time Dunk Contest champion, stands at 6’2″. McClung is by no means short, but by NBA standards, he appears minuscule running up and down the court.
Despite his stature, McClung has a vertical leap of 43.5″. His freakish jumping ability gives him enough clearance to perform astronomical dunks, but can he win his third contest in a row this Saturday?
The top NBA betting sites imply that he can. McClung is a heavy favorite and well ahead of the other three contenders that will try to unseat him on Saturday.
McClung was undrafted and has mostly played in the G League since his professional debut. He is now a member of the Orlando Magic but spends most of his time playing for their G League affiliate, the Osceola Magic.
Check out the following video to see the phenomenal dunks that McClung is capable of.
NBA – All-Star – NBA All-Star 2025 – Slam Dunk Contest – Winner
- Mcclung, Mac -226, -200
- Jackson Jr., Andre +550, +600
- Castle, Stephon +750, +400
- Buzelis, Matas +750, +575
*These NBA odds appear in the order of MyBookie and BetOnline.
Mac will go up against Andre Jackson (6’6″), Stephon Castle (6’6″), and Matas Buzelis (6’10”). At the moment, only two of our top sportsbooks are offering Dunk Contest odds, but they do feature enough differentials to allow for line shopping.
For instance, anyone intending to gamble on McClung to win his third Dunk Contest in a row should do so at BetOnline because a $1 win will only require players to risk $2. That same net win will require a bet of $2.26 at MyBookie.
The best underdog value on the boards is Stephon Castle. A $1 bet can earn gamblers $7.50 at MyBookie if he wins, while that same wager will only garner $4 at BetOnline.
The only three-time Dunk Contest winner is Nate Robinson, but he didn’t do it in consecutive years. McClung suggested that the 2024 contest would be his last, but he reconsidered in the weeks leading up to this year’s contest.
“I love the contest, man… It’d be an action in fear not to do it again. So, I’ll do it — one last time.”
Mac McClung
Tune in Saturday night on TNT to see if McClung makes history, and be sure to submit any wagers well before the contest begins.
