Week 14 NFL Betting Picks – Two Winners For Sunday

Jalen Carter of the Philadelphia Eagles pointing to the crowd

We’ve been on quite a tear this season when it comes to picking winning NFL betting picks, but we’re also honest when we have a down week. In Week 13, we weren’t feeling terribly confident about what was being offered at NFL betting sites, so we only made two selections instead of our usual three.

We picked the over in the Denver Broncos vs. Houston Texans matchup. The total was set at 46.0 points, but the Texans won 22-17 making the under a winner at 39.0.

The second pick was a winner. We went with the Detroit Lions covering four points against the New Orleans Saints. Detroit won by six, covering the NFL point spread and saving our day a little.

The reason the day was a dud is because when you win as many as you lose, the sportsbook wins. There is juice attached to every point spread, moneyline, or over/under bet featured inside parenthesis.

This number represents the cut the bookie scrapes off the top and keeps for themselves. Translation, if you go even with your NFL betting picks, you’ve actually lost a little bit of money.

Enough crying about last week – here are two NFC divisional matchups that have got our attention for Week 14.

NFL Betting Picks For Week 14

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Atlanta Falcons

  • Tampa Bay Point Spread: +2.5
  • Tampa Bay Moneyline: +120
  • Atlanta Point Spread: -2.5
  • Atlanta Moneyline: -140
  • Over/Under: 39.5

The Atlanta Falcons are now leading the NFC South division after beating the New York Jets 13-8 on Sunday. Atlanta’s 6-6 record places them a game ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Saints in the division standings heading into Week 14.

Tampa Bay has fared well against lower-rung teams this season, but the Dirty Birds appear to have the advantage up front in this inter-divisional rivalry. The Falcons have already beaten the Bucs at their house by three this season, and we expect them to cover the -2.5 points against Tampa this weekend.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys

  • Philadelphia Point Spread: +3.5
  • Philadelphia Moneyline: +150
  • Dallas Point Spread: -3.5
  • Dallas Moneyline: -175
  • Over/Under: 52.5

The Philadelphia Eagles just suffered a walloping at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, but they’re still clinging to the number one seed in the NFC. This week the Eagles are traveling to Dallas to face the Cowboys, who are favored by -3.5.

We’re betting on the Eagles to cover the 3.5 points and potentially win the game on the road. Philly was able to hold serve at home against the Cowboys earlier this year and looks to rebound with a win in Texas on Sunday Night Football.
