Sweet 16 Betting Odds: Will Another One Seed Go Down Tonight?

Kansas Jayhawks are now top the 2022 March Madness odds to win
  • The Kansas Jayhawks are the only remaining one seed in the 2022 NCAA Tournament
  • March Madness futures now favor the Houston Cougars to win the 2022 NCAAB Finals
  • The second night of Sweet 16 action begins this evening

2022 March Madness continues to deliver upsets as the Gonzaga Bulldogs were knocked off of their top spot by the 4th seeded Arkansas Razorbacks on the first night of the Sweet 16.

Those that bet on the moneyline odds for Arkansas to win were rewarded with a handsome 3.5-to-1 net payout, depending on when the wager was placed, as college basketball bookmakers were not predicting the game to be close.

Sweet 16 betting continues with four more games this evening with the first tipping off at 7:09 PM.

St. Peter’s Peacocks (#15) vs. Purdue Boilermakers (#3)

  • Point Spread: Peacocks +12.5, Boilermakers -12.5
  • Moneyline: Peacocks +575, Boilermakers -900
  • Over/Under: 133.5

The Perdue Boilermakers are heavy favorites with a 12.5 advantage in the point spread against the lowest remaining team in the March Madness bracket – the 15 seed St. Peter’s Peacocks.

Will the Peacocks continue their run and become the first ever 15 seed to reach the finals? College Basketball National Championship betting sites aren’t buying in. If you must risk some of your own money against St. Peter’s improbable odds to win, make sure it is a small dollar wager.

Providence Friars (#4) vs.  Kansas Jayhawks (#1)

  • Point Spread: +7.0 (-110), Jayhawks -7.0
  • Moneyline: +265, Jayhawks -330
  • Over/Under: 141.5

The only remaining one seed faces off against the #4 Providence Friars where the Kansas Jayhawks are projected to win by 7 points and move on to the Elite 8.

Common sense would dictate that the lone one seed in the tourney would garner the best odds to win March Madness but those honors have been granted to the Houston Cougars who just knocked off the #1 Arizona Wildcats.

North Carolina Tarheels (#8) vs. UCLA Bruins (#4)

  • Point Spread: Tarheels +2.0, Bruins -2.0
  • Moneyline: Tarheels +110, Bruins -130
  • Over/Under: 142.0

These two histoically significant college basketball programs are poised to deliver a Sweet 16 matchup for the ages as the victor is expected to win by a margin of a single basket.

Throw seeding out the window when betting on these UNC vs. UCLA odds to win because no matter which team comes out on top, it can hardly be considered a legitimate upset.

Iowa State Hawkeyes (#11) vs. Miami Hurricanes (#10)

  • Point Spread: Hawkeyes +2.5, Hurricanes -2.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline: Hawkeyes +130, Hurricanes -150
  • Over/Under: 133.0

The final game of the Sweet 16 guarantees that a double-digit seed will advance to the Elite 8 in 2022. The Iowa State Hawkeyes are still rolling after participating in this year’s Play-In Tournament and they’ll need all the momentum they can muster against the Miami Hurricanes.

The ACC has the chance to place three teams among the Elite 8 if Miami and North Carolina can win tonight, and the NCAAB betting sites are projecting that reality is just a basket away from occurring.

Here are the current NCAAB National Championship futures odds which will be narrowed by four teams at the conclusion of the Sweet 16 tonight.
