74th Primetime Emmy Awards Odds: Our Take On Who Will Win

  • The 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards Begin Next Monday At 8 PM On NBC
  • Keenan Thompson Will Host The 74th Annual Emmy Awards

The 74th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony will take place one week from tonight, giving honors to the best television programming that aired during primetime hours between June 1, 2021, and May 31, 2022.

Odds for betting on the Emmys have been posted for most major categories, with Netflix, HBO, and AppleTV series dominating the lines so far.

Outstanding Comedy Series

  • Ted Lasso -175
  • Barry +275
  • Hacks +425
  • Abbott Elementary +400
  • Only Murders In The Building +1400
  • The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel +2500
  • What We Do In The Shadows +3500
  • Curb Your Enthusiasm +5000

AppleTV’s Ted Lasso was the winner of last year’s Emmy for outstanding comedy series, and it is leading the odds for this year’s award at the moment. With a 450-point advantage in the moneyline over HBO’s Barry, Ted Lasso appears poised for a second Emmy in a row.

Outstanding Drama Series

  • Succession -175
  • Better Call Saul +250
  • Squid Game +300
  • Severance +1000
  • Ozark +1200
  • Stranger Things +1800
  • Euphoria +2800
  • Yellowjackets +3500

HBO’s Succession holds a commanding lead in the odds for outstanding drama series. We’re considering betting on Squid Game as they are our potential sleeper pick for this year’s Emmys. The Netflix series is holding the number three spot at the moment with a +300 moneyline.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series

  • Bill Hader – Barry -120
  • Jason Sudeikis – Ted Lasso -120
  • Steve Martin – Only Murders In The Building +800
  • Martin Short – Only Murders In The Building +1000
  • Donald Glover – Atlanta +1200
  • Nicholas Hoult – The Great +1400

Both Bill Hader (Barry – HBO) and Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso – AppleTV) are tied for the lead, both with a -120 moneyline. Sudeikis won last year’s Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series, and his current odds are very close to even for a favored nominee.

Entertainment bets of $1.20 are required to net $1 in profit by betting on Sudeikis and Ted Lasso to win the Emmy.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series

  • Lee Jung-Jae – Squid Game -110
  • Brian Cox – Succession +150
  • Jeremy Strong – Succession +400
  • Bob Odenkirk – Better Call Saul +150
  • Adam Scott – Severance +1400

Will Squid Game be the surprise winner at this year’s Emmys? Lee Jung-Jae is holding a slim lead in the odds to win outstanding lead actor in a drama series over Succession’s Brian Cox. We’ve got a hunch that if Squid Game wins one Emmy, it’ll win both.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series

  • Jean Smart – Hacks -280
  • Quinta Brunson – Abbott Elementary +235
  • Rachel Brosnahan – The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel +650
  • Kaley Cuoco – The Flight Attendant +1000
  • Issa Rae – Insecure +1400
  • Elle Fanning – The Great Wins +1400

Jean Smart from HBO’s Hacks is topping the odds for lead actress in a comedy series, while The White Lotus (also HBO) is favored to win outstanding limited series.

Outstanding Limited Series

  • The White Lotus -210
  • Dopesick +175
  • The Dropout +1000
  • Inventing Anna +1800
  • Pam & Tommy +2000

The following entertainment prop bet asks if any hosts will be slapped on stage, a la Will Smith and Chris Rock. Normally, there are yes and no outcomes for all lines so that action comes in evenly on both sides.

Will Any Presenters Be Slapped On Stage?

  • Yes +2500

That’s not the case with the above slapping odds because sportsbooks are only taking action on an outcome of ‘yes.’ This looks like a sucker bet, so be cautious. There will be no payouts rewarded for a scripted smack.
