Week 1 of the 2023-24 NFL season did not disappoint, with several sleepers and upsets that came through for savvy gamblers. We went 4-1 on our NFL picks for yesterday’s games, and now we give our take on the current Jets vs. Bills odds for Monday Night Football.

Bovada has Buffalo vs. New York betting lines set as follows:

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets Betting Line

  • Point Spread: Bills -2.0, Jets +2.0
  • Moneyline: Bills -130, Jets +110
  • Over/Under: 45.0

The Jets improved last year, finishing with a record of 7-10. Despite finishing near .500, New York still found themselves at the bottom of the AFC East standings and out of the NFL Playoffs.

Buffalo was the AFC East champions in 2022, a feat they’ve accomplished for three years in a row. Their 13-3 record placed them four games ahead of the second-ranked Miami Dolphins.

The current odds for betting on the Buffalo Bills rank them as the favorite to win the division. They’re followed by the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, and New England Patriots.

The Bills are also tied for the lead with the Kansas City Chiefs for the top odds-getter in the AFC Championship futures. KC has slipped following their Thursday night loss to the Detroit Lions.

The reason point spreads and moneylines are so close for the Jets vs. Bills is the debut of Aaron Rodgers in a New York uniform in front of a home crowd.

NY has been starved for decent quarterback play for years, and now they’re all in on the Rodgers Express in hopes of a trip to Super Bowl 58. The young and talented offense of the Jets should aid Rodgers in picking apart opposing defenses, but will it result in enough wins to lift New York to the postseason?

New York’s placement in the overall NFL futures suggests that they’ll be the second Wild Card team in the AFC. If that comes to fruition, that means at least three AFC East teams will make the playoffs.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson is projected to be the lead target of Rodgers. Wilson is poised for 68.5 yards receiving, according to NFL player prop bets posted for tonight. Garrett also holds the second-highest odds of scoring a touchdown behind RB Dalvin Cook of the Jets.

Cook was signed as a free agent in the offseason and looks to bolster an already strong rushing attack of the Jets, sharing the load with second-year RB Breece Hall.

Kickoff for the Bills vs. Jets is at 8:15 EST tonight and can be seen on ESPN.
