Joey Bosa has been a standout defensive edge rusher for the Los Angeles Chargers for the past nine seasons. Yesterday, He was released following an injury-plagued season in which he finished with only five sacks.
Could Bosa end up in San Francisco playing opposite of his brother, Nick Bosa? His low asking price could be attractive for the 49ers, and some outlets are already speculating about the pairing.
Speaking of the 49ers – they just completed a trade with the Washington Commanders, sending them wide receiver Deebo Samuel for a fifth-round selection in this year’s NFL Draft.
The salary cap relief granted by Samuel’s departure gives the franchise some extra room to sign their quarterback, Brock Purdy, to an extension. Reports indicate that the 49ers’ initial offer to Purdy is $45 million per season.
While that’s a decent chunk of change, it isn’t as much as typical starting quarterback are paid in the league, especially for one who has played as well as Purdy. If a long-term deal isn’t signed, Purdy will most certainly be exploring other teams.
NFL sportsbooks have created a prop bet on Purdy’s next team, but none of the franchises have odds that place them within the realm of possibility.

- Cleveland Browns +800
- Las Vegas Raiders +1000
- New York Giants +1200
- Tennesee Titans +1400

The release of Aaron Rodgers from the New York Jets was not a shock after an uneventful two-year stint. New York followed that up by releasing wide receiver Davante Adams, a long-tenured teammate of Rodgers.
The following line asks if the two will join the same team this upcoming season.
Will Davante Adams Team Up With Aaron Rodgers Again For The Start Of 2025-26 Season?
- Yes +160
- No -240
The odds for “no” are in the lead, but the moneyline for “yes” is close enough to even to warrant consideration.
Where will Ja’Marr Chase Play Week 1 of the 2025 NFL Season?
- Cincinnati Bengals -500
- Las Vegas Raiders +1000
- Chicago Bears +1200
- New England Patriots +1400
- Los Angeles Chargers +1600
- Los Angeles Rams +2000

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is arguably the best WR in the game today. Unfortunately, contract negotiations between Chase and the Bengals are far apart, and it doesn’t help that the franchise is currently trying to resign DE Trey Hendrickson and WR Tee Higgins.
The odds overwhelmingly favor Chase remaining with the Bengals. Higgins has received his second franchise tag in a row, so his return is likely as well, barring a holdout.
As for Trey Hendrickson, Cincinnati appears open to welcoming trade offers for one of the best edge rushers in the game.
