Fortnite World Cup prop bets: Keyboard and mouse players predicted to dominate those using controllers

Sorry controller fans, the oddsmakers believe the Fortnite World Cup winners will use a keyboard and mouse.

And it’s not even a close.

The 2019 Fortnite World Cup Finals are on July 26-28 in New York City, and eSports prop bets have just released for what’s sure to be one of the biggest esports tournaments of the year.

Oddsmakers at Bovada Sportsbook weighed in on the Fortnite KB/M vs. Controller debate by listing keyboard and mouse as enormous favorites over the controller for what will be used by the Solo/Duo winners.

After converting to an implied probability and extracting the juice from the prop bet, we can see that the oddsmakers believe there is a 95% chance that the Solo winner will use KB/M ($3300 bet wins $100) to win the Fortnite World Cup compared to only a 5% for using a controller ($100 bets wins $1200).

And the odds get even worse for the Duo teams using a controller.

KB/M has been given an even bigger edge when the teams parachute onto the island. The PC gamers weapon of choice is listed at -7500 (97.22%) while console controllers have longer than longshot odds at +1800 (2.78%).

In other words: players using a controller barely have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the finals.
