2019 Emmy Awards odds: ‘Game of Thrones’ predicted to rule the show

game of thrones emmys

The Primetime Emmy Awards are one of the highest honors in American entertainment excellence. Meant to honor superior primetime television, the Emmys cover a wide range of categories.

Emmy nominations can be given to the best programs, actors, or particular episodes, depending on the category.

This year’s ceremony, the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, is highlighted by the record-breaking numbers of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Altogether, Game of Thrones had 32 Emmy nominations, breaking NYPD Blue’s 25-year-old record of 26 nods.

The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards are this Sunday, September 22, in downtown Los Angeles from the Microsoft Theater. The 2019 ceremony will be the fourth time in Emmys history that the event will not have a host, following the 2003, 1998, and 1975 ceremonies.

Although it is a newer field of gambling, entertainment betting is becoming increasingly popular, especially with competition and awards shows. For such programs, like the 71st Emmys, odds are given to possible winners, allowing wagers to be placed on individual chances.

For example, Emilia Clarke has +600 odds of winning an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. With a $100 bet placed on Clarke, her Emmy win would equate to $600.

To watch the ceremony, tune in to Fox at 8 pm ET Sunday evening.

A full list of betting odds for each category and its nominees is below and can also be found in the Entertainment section at Bovada Sportsbook.
