Up for grabs is Pereira’s UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, a title he earned by TKO’ing Jiří Procházka in the second round at UFC 295.
Jamahal Hill hasn’t fought since January of 2023 where he became the Light Heavyweight Champion by beating Glover Teixeira at UFC 283. Hill later was forced to vacate the title due to injury when he ruptured his Achilles tendon playing basketball.

Neither Hill nor Pereira are submission experts, so the above UFC prop bet implies plenty of striking in this bout.
Pereira has a 33-7 professional kickboxing record, and his leg striking is certainly something Hill will have to contend with. Alex combines his kicking prowess with freakish punching strength.

While there’s no denying the destructive potential held in Pereira’s hands, Hill’s opponents have had trouble landing punches. However, Jamahal’s only loss was a TKO defeat to Paul Craig, proving his mortality and the potential to break through his defenses.
Tune in Saturday to find out whether Hill regains the title he never lost, or a Pereira reign begins.
