Fast Food Fans to Bet on Return of McDonald’s Snack Wrap at Online Sportsbooks

It was only a matter of time until America’s favorite, or at least most iconic, fast-food chain made its way into the weird side of betting lines. Today, that became a reality.

McDonald’s Betting Lines Emerge at Online Sportsbooks

COVID caused several fast-food chains to switch to a limited menu. While McDonald’s was once admired for its genius decision to begin serving breakfast all day, the company’s aspirations were quickly foiled by the pandemic.

In the wake of post-COVID reopenings across the nation, McDonald’s patrons have been eagerly begging executives to bring back exclusive items in their full-menu rollout.

Will Any Of These Items Be Added To The McDonald’s Menu In 2022?

  • McRib +150
  • Mighty Wings +175
  • McPizza +300
  • Fried Apple Pie +500
  • Arch Deluxe +750
  • Onion Nuggets +1200
  • McDLT +3000

The rumors originated from a TikTok in which user @sauceycashabby voiced their grievances over the removal of the Snack Wrap from Mcdonalds’ menu in 2016. The video accumulated over 1.8 million views and hundreds of thousands of likes.

As with most viral content, many TikTok users left comments empathizing with the original poster. The video incurred so much attention that a petition was created on Change.org to bring back the coveted $2 wrap. Right now, the petition has nearly 9,000 signatures.

One commenter, posing as an employee for McDonald’s, claimed that the Snack Wrap was already set to make a return to stores across the nation. This news spread more quickly than expected, making its way to other social media platforms like Twitter.

That being said, you may be wondering why the Snack Wrap isn’t listed on the McDonald’s betting lines. A McDonald’s spokesperson told The Takeout that the Snack Wrap would not be making a return with the rest of its menu.

Employees at the company’s Twitter addressed the situation on September 1st asking Snack Wrap fans “did it hurt? when u realized i’m not in charge of the menu”

However, hopes don’t seem to be dwindling for other McDonald’s favorites such as the McRib or the McPizza. People across the nation are placing legal online sportsbook bets on their favorite discontinued food items. With enough incentive, the public could potentially sway the corporate sentiment.

TikTok’s Grasp & Impact

This brings us to another topic of interest. Throughout the pandemic, TikTok became an integral part of our day-to-day lives. Even if you aren’t on TikTok, its videos have quickly slipped into media feeds across all platforms.

It seems that bettors should start to keep their eyes locked on TikTok to keep up with new trends in the betting world.
