Betting On The Final NFL Playoff Teams For 2024-25

Nearly every NFL Playoff spot has been secured in both the AFC and NFC. There is still room for one more team to clinch in both conferences, and there are less than a handful of NFL teams remaining that can qualify.

NFL Playoff Standings Bracket For December 31 2024

The National Football Conference

In the NFC, the final playoff spot is down to either the Atlanta Falcons or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Whichever team wins the NFC South will earn the 4 seed and will play the lower finisher between the Minnesota Vikings or Detroit Lions.

If Tampa Bay wins, they’re in, and the odds suggest they’ll have no problem dispatching the New Orleans Saints this weekend.

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Line

  • Spread: NO +13.5 (-105), TB -13.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline: NO +600, TB -950
  • Over: 43.5 (-110)
  • Under: 43.5 (-110)

Betting on the Buccaneers to cover the spread will require them to win by two touchdowns.

If the Bucs lose, then the Atlanta Falcons can become the NFC South champions with a win over the Carolina Panthers. The Falcons are favored by 9 at home.

Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons Betting Line

  • Spread: CAR +9.0 (-110), ATL -9.0 (-110)
  • Moneyline: CAR +330, ATL -440
  • Over: 47.5 (-110)
  • Under: 47.5 (-110)

The American Football Conference

The Denver Broncos can earn the final playoff spot in the AFC with a win against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18. While that may not seem like a walk in the park, key starters for KC will be taking the day off to get extra rest for the postseason.

Without Mahomes and Kelce, the Chiefs are 10 point underdogs to Denver.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos Betting Line

  • Spread: KC +10.0 (-110), DEN -10.0 (-110)
  • Moneyline: KC +390, DEN -550
  • Over: 38.5 (-110)
  • Under: 38.5 (-110)

If Denver somehow loses the game, that will open the door for the Miami Dolphins or Cincinnati Bengals to sneak into the playoffs.

Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets Betting Line

  • Spread: MIA -1.5 (-105), NYJ +1.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline: MIA -125, NYJ +105
  • Over: 40.0 (-115)
  • Under: 40.0 (-105)

The Dolphins are narrowly favored to beat the Jets by 1.5 points. Miami beat New York 32-26 on December 8th, but may be without the services of starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa this time around.

If Miami and Denver lose, then the Cincinnati Bengals can make it to the playoffs with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers this Saturday.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Line

  • Spread: CIN -1.5 (-110), PIT +1.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: CIN -125, PIT +105
  • Over: 48.5 (-110)
  • Under: 48.5 (-110)

We’re betting on the Denver Broncos to wrap up a playoff berth with a win at KC this weekend.
