The 2025 Golden Globes will broadcast live on CBS on January 5th, starting at 8 p.m. The ceremony will also be streamed on Paramount+.
The Globes separate the genres of drama and comedy/musical so that more films and actors can be acknowledged for excellence. The awards are voted for by the Hollywood Foreign Press, giving the Globes a unique spin that isn’t present at other ceremonies like the Oscars.
Despite the differences, the Globes are still a great early indicator of which films will be nominated and potentially win other awards, such as the Oscars, the BAFTA Awards, and even the Razzies.
Odds for betting on the Golden Globes are posted online now, and two films can potentially sweep most categories in their respective disciplines.
