Betting On The Divisional Round Of The 2024-25 NFL Playoffs

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson talking after a game

The conclusion of Wild Card Weekend has resulted in the expulsion of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos from the 2024-25 playoffs.

Four game lines for betting on the NFL Playoffs have been produced for the divisional round, with the home team favored in all games save for one – the Bills vs. Ravens.

Last weekend featured three underdog winners. Will any teams win on the road in the second round?

Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on ESPN, the Texans travel to Arrowhead Stadium to play the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Houston Texans @ Kansas City Chiefs

  • Point Spread: Texans +8.0 (-110), Chiefs -8.0 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Texans +350, Chiefs -480
  • Over: 42.5 (-110)
  • Under: 42.5 (-110)

Houston was a three-point dog to the LA Chargers last weekend, but managed to win by 20 points. The Texans are 8-point underdogs to KC this Saturday, but is there a chance that online NFL sportsbooks have their projections wrong once again?

Not likely. The Chiefs have rested their key starters for two weeks and should be at full health against Houston. We like them to cover the 8 points and move on to host the AFC Championship Game against either the Ravens or Bills.

On Saturday at 8 p.m. on Fox, the Commanders and Lions will kickoff.

Washington Commanders @ Detroit Lions

  • Point Spread: Commanders +9.5 (-105), Lions -9.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline: Commanders +425, Lions -600
  • Over: 54.5 (-110)
  • Under: 54.5 (-110)

Detroit is favored by a massive 9.5-point spread, but the Commanders were able to eliminate the Tampa Bay in Raymond James Stadium last Sunday night. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels has been impressive in his first season, and has lead D.C. to the second round of the postseason.

Is the ride over for Washington? Probably, but they’ve got a great chance at covering against the Lions this weekend. Detroit remains the Super Bowl betting favorite, and if projections are correct, it’ll be the first Lombardi Trophy they’ve won in franchise history.

The second day of action begins Sunday at 3:00 p.m. on NBC when the Eagles and Rams meet up at Lincoln Financial Field.

Los Angeles Rams @ Philadelphia Eagles

  • Point Spread: Rams +5.5 (-105), Eagles -5.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline: Rams +220, Eagles -270
  • Over: 43.5 (-110)
  • Under: 43.5 (-110)

The Rams just beat the Vikings, a 14-win team that was favored by -1.5. The Eagles are projected to win by -5.5 points and are a Super Bowl sleeper. What’s concerning for Philadelphia is the defensive line of the Rams that is loaded with young talent.

LA has overachieved in 2024-25, and their playoff run is likely over, but they could cover the 5.5 points on Sunday.

The final game of the divisional round kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and is easily the most competitive matchup of the weekend.

Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills

  • Point Spread: Ravens -1.0 (-110), Bills +1.0 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Ravens -120, Bills EVEN
  • Over: 51.0 (-110)
  • Under: 51.0 (-110)

The Ravens are 1-point road favorites against Buffalo, but we believe the Bills will win and travel on to face Kansas City for a chance to go to Super Bowl LIX. The Bills’ Josh Allen and the Ravens Lamar Jackson are the leading contenders for this year’s NFL MVP award, and the winner of this game will likely become the league’s Most Valuable Player.

The NFL futures suggest that the Bills will once again lose to the Chiefs, as the top two teams are the Lions and KC.

Super Bowl 59 Odds To Win

  • Detroit Lions +300
  • Kansas City Chiefs +300
  • Philadelphia Eagles +425
  • Baltimore Ravens +450
  • Buffalo Bills +550
  • Los Angeles Rams +1500
  • Washington Commanders  +2500
  • Houston Texans +4500
