To mark the 30th anniversary of the hit NBC series Friends, MAX is producing a game show that will test fans’ knowledge of the show and award the top finisher large sums of money.
The game show Fast Friends plans to enter production next month and has no set timetable for its debut on MAX. The series will consist of four episodes filmed in The “Friends” Experience: The One in New York.
The NYC designation is required because the “Friends” Experience already has a location open in London and another set to debut in Las Vegas.
The exhibit features 18 rooms that are facsimiles of the most famous sets used in the series. Contestants will be challenged by races, puzzles, trivia, and scavenger hunts that will take them across the entire “Friends” Experience.
“From racing through Rachel and Monica’s apartment to darting across Joey and Chandler’s bachelor pad and grabbing a coffee at Central Perk, fans will relive their favorite moments while being put to the test with trivia, puzzles and games that will keep even the most die-hard ‘Friends’ fans on their toes,”

The game show is a follow-up on the success of MAX’s Friends: The Reunion special that aired in 2011.
Entertainment betting sites are keen on producing odds for any television series that includes competitions and a winner. Because online sportsbooks have so little to go on when a series is in preproduction, the odds usually entail the age and the gender of the ultimate winner.

According to these entertainment prop bets, the winner of Fast Friends will be a woman between the ages of 18 and 28, or north of 40 (the two age groups are currently tied).
The demographics for Friends viewers include more women than men, so that result makes sense.
Friends was in syndication well before the finale aired and remains a popular rerun series to this day. That said, a consistent fan of 30 years does have an advantage over a Gen Z’er who has binged all ten seasons a few times.
