The 2023 MLB All-Star break officially begins today and runs through next Tuesday. Between now and then, Major League Baseball has stacked the deck with several televised events to keep fans busy until regular season action returns.

  • Tuesday, July 11th
    • 2023 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard – 8 PM on FOX

Online MLB sportsbooks typically post odds for most events over their All-Star Break, and this year is no different. Thus far, Home Run Derby odds are the most prominent, as the eight players that will be competing are now known.

Betting On The 2023 Home Run Derby Winner

Futures odds listing all 8 Home Run Derby contestants are beginning to pop up around the web. The New York Mets’ first baseman Pete Alonso leads the MLB odds to win the Home Run Derby, with Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. trailing him by 50 points.

2023 MLB Home Run Derby Odds To Win

  • Pete Alonso (NYM) +300
  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (TOR) +350
  • Luis Robert Jr. (CWS) +475
  • Julio Rodriguez (SEA) +550
  • Adolis García (TEX) +700
  • Mookie Betts (LAD) +950
  • Randy Arozarena (TB) +950
  • Adley Rutschman (BAL) +1600

Alonso is a 2-time Home Run Derby champion, winning in 2019 and 2021. Guerrero has yet to win a Derby, but in 2019, he set a record for most home runs hit in a single round with 40.

A $1 wager at any of the MLB All-Star betting sites we recommend will deliver payouts between $4 and $17 to gamblers that select the correct hitter.

Betting On First-Round Matchups

The Home Run Derby works in a bracketed system where players face off in head-to-head matchups, with the winner advancing to the next round.

Because the first-round opponents are known, the gambling sites included in our list of online sportsbook reviews are offering lines on each one.

Adolis Garcia vs Randy Arozarena

  • Adolis García -145
  • Randy Arozarena +110

Luis Robert Jr. vs Adley Rutschman

  • Adley Rutschman +150
  • Luis Robert Jr. -200

Pete Alonso vs Julio Rodriguez

  • Julio Rodriguez +130
  • Pete Alonso -170

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. vs Mookie Betts

  • Mookie Betts +135
  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. -170

If the odds for the above first-round matchups prove correct, then the players with the highest Home Run Derby odds for 2023 – Alonso and Guerrero Jr. – will match up in the second round.
