WWE SummerSlam returns as a two-night event on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026. Both cards begin at 6 p.m. ET and will be held at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The event streams through the ESPN App with an ESPN Unlimited subscription in the United States and on Netflix in supported international markets.

Rollins remains one of the few opponents Reigns has struggled to overcome consistently. He owns a narrow advantage in their one-on-one history and is pursuing the championship he previously surrendered because of injury. Their association dates back to The Shield, giving this match considerably more history than a typical title defense.

CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes
Punk unexpectedly entered the championship picture after Gunther attacked Rhodes before his scheduled rematch with Sami Zayn. Punk replaced Rhodes, defeated Zayn, and captured the title. Rhodes now receives the opportunity he originally earned, but against a different champion.

Gable earned his Intercontinental Championship opportunity by winning a seven-man gauntlet match on Raw. Penta has established a strong run as champion, but Gable’s Minneapolis connection and decisive favorite status point toward a hometown title change.

The match grew from Solo Sikoa’s refusal to rejoin his family and the continuing conflict within the reformed Bloodline. LA Knight proposed the six-man match after Royce Keys’ bout with Jey Uso ended without a winner.
