Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and Stan Wawrinka are former winners participating in the men’s bracket of the 2025 French Open. There are so few past champions in the field because Rafael Nadal has dominated the past two decades.
Nadal is now retired, offering the remainder of the men’s ranks to capture a French Open title or two.
Stan Wawrinka won the French Open in 2015 and has been offered a wild card spot at the age of 40. Last year’s champion, Carlos Alcaraz, is favored to win with a moneyline of +135.
The odds for betting on the French Open place Jannik Sinner just behind Alcaraz with a +175 moneyline. Sinner recently completed a three-month ban for doping, and at 23 years old, only needs a title at the French Open and Wimbledon to capture a win at all four Grand Slam tournaments.
Aclaraz’s advantage in the odds over Sinner is largely due to his head-to-head win in the Italian Open finals yesterday. Alcaraz holds a 7-4 lifetime win-loss record against Sinner.
The men’s French Open final is scheduled for June 8th.
