Is It Legal To Bet On Women’s College Basketball?

Betting on college basketball is legal for both the women’s and the men’s game. Domestic and offshore sportsbooks cater to players in the US, and what types are available to you can depend on the state you are currently in.

Domestic Sportsbooks – You can bet on Women’s NCAA Basketball odds at a sportsbook in all states where they are locally regulated. Some states don't allow betting on NCAA Women’s Basketball odds when they involve local teams. There are also a growing number of states that forbid NCAA player prop bets.

Offshore Sportsbooks – Gambling sites based overseas in legal eGaming jurisdictions can accept players in all US states. Each site we list here is based offshore and offers Women’s March Madness odds and lines for all games on the schedule. No laws govern or ban the use of offshore betting sites, but some books do not allow gambling in specific states.

How To Bet On NCAA Women’s Basketball

Betting on women’s basketball odds work like any other major sport. There are Women’s College Basketball betting lines, odds to win Women’s NCAA Tournaments, prop bets, futures, parlays, and more. These women’s basketball betting options are further detailed below.

    Women’s College Basketball Betting Lines

Every game on the schedule for major programs will be featured at online sportsbooks. These NCAA Women's Basketball betting lines contain three wagering opportunities: the point spread, moneyline, and over/under.

    Connecticut Huskies vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

    • Point Spread: Huskies +3.0, Hawkeyes -3.0
    • Moneyline: Huskies +130, Hawkeyes -150
    • Over/Under: 162.0

Point Spread – Women’s college basketball’s most common wager is the spread, which in this case favors Iowa by 3 points. The Hawkeyes need to win by 4 or more points for the spread bet to cover. The Huskies can cover the spread by losing by 2 points or fewer.

NCAA Women’s Basketball Moneyline - If you bet on a team’s moneyline odds, it will win if the team wins. Each team's odds reflect the potential cash payout. A bet on the Huskies at +130 will pay out at a 1.3-to-1 ratio. A $1.50 bet on the Hawkeyes will net $1.

Over/Under Women’s College Basketball – Both teams are projected to score a combined 162.0 points in this game line. Bet on the over and win if the total is 163 or higher. Bet on the under and win if the total is 161 or lower. The bet is a push if the total lands on 162.

Changes To The Women's Bracket In 2027

The 2027 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament introduces the biggest bracket change in years, expanding the field from 68 teams to 76. The additional eight spots create more opportunities for both conference champions and at-large selections, while the traditional 64-team portion of the bracket remains intact once the opening games are completed.

Instead of the former four-game First Four, the tournament will begin with a 12-game Opening Round featuring 24 teams. Six of those games will match the 12 lowest-seeded automatic qualifiers against one another, while the other six will feature the 12 lowest-seeded at-large selections. Automatic qualifiers will not face at-large teams during this stage.

For the women’s tournament, the Opening Round will be played at 12 campus sites hosted by selected top-16 seeds. The 12 winners will advance into the standard 64-team bracket, with the First Round beginning March 19. For bettors, the expanded format means more early-round matchups and additional moneylines, point spreads, totals, and potentially other March Madness betting markets before the traditional bracket gets underway.

Bonus cash is based on a percentage of the deposit and is awarded once the transaction finalizes. If you can complete the terms before the deadline, then the cash becomes withdrawable. Creating a sports betting site account does not require you to accept sportsbook bonuses.

Cryptocurrency is our most-preferred deposit and payout type. Crypto deposits are ultra-secure and arrive within an hour in most cases. Sportsbooks also prefer altcoins and encourage users to deposit with cryptocurrencies by offering large bonuses. Bitcoin can be withdrawn within the same day.
